Guardian News & Media / Observer
I joined Guardian News & Media and the Observer as an Account Manager for Arts and Independent agencies, commercially managing all Arts & Ents magazines and supplements, as well as commercially leading our media partnerships with Glastonbury Festival, Somerset House and Festival No 6.
A career highlight during this period was re-launching Observer Music Magazine, collaborating with Observer New Review editor Sarah Donald on an editorial x commercial strategic plan to accomplish this. The highlight here was securing Adele as the cover star for the relaunch, which had a special meaning to both parties as she had appeared on the cover in 2009 after launching her first album.
I was promoted to lead on the Guardian's Group M/ Wavemaker account, growing the patch to +£3m.
In 2017, Guardian Labs - the branded content arm of the business - was relaunched by Adam Foley, I was hired as one of the three creative strategists tasked with leading on all of our creative partnerships.
