LADbible Group / Tyla / UNILAD
LADbible Group was creatively inspiring. I was hired as a creative to lead Pretty 52 (later Tyla), LADbible's female-focussed sister brand. Rumour has it it was named in the pub by the lads. Soon after joining, I pitched to the founders that a rebrand was needed to move the brand into a modern space, with an opportunity ahead to become gender-neutral and create a safe environment for brands to advertise. TL:DR; no more editorial articles about dick shaped lipsticks.
We brought on board iconic Head of Content Maggie Hitchins, and with award-winning designer Ash Kitchin, brand marketer Kate Levy and our Manchester HQ-based writers, our team was complete. We relaunched with a beautiful new identity.
The pivot was a huge commercial success - we landed mutli-year client partnerships with the likes of Cancer Research UK, Häagen-Dazs and Boots. The editorial strategy worked too, going from <3m followers to >15m.
I worked with a variety of incredible clients across both LADbible and UNILAD (following the merger), much of which remains some of my proudest work to date.
